We overlook the shoulders of two men. They appear to be in a congressional seating arrangement, with a man wearing a white lab coat sitting by himself at a table.

Senator 1 : Professor, thanks for coming down and seeing this committee. You're here today because we'd like some assurances about this "Large Hadron Collider" experiment.
Senator 2 : We're concerned of a global disaster, much like the one depicted in the 2006 Sci-Fi movie Black Hole.

Senator 1 : We're also concerned that you might throw the earth's magnetic core out of alignment, such as 2003's The Core.
Senator 2 : Or perhaps that one of these "microscopic black holes" could upset the earth's fault lines, causing the earthquake-related devastation shown in the 2004 miniseries 10.5.

Senator 1 : What about the geothermal core? How can we be sure that this experiment won't cause the type of volcanic armageddon like the one in the 1997 movie Volcano?
Senator 2 : You liked that one? I thought Dante's Peak was better. It hadm a more compelling narrative.
Scientist : Gentlemen, I can tell you that our experiments will be no more a threat than Finding Nemo.

Senator 1 : Professor, please try to be serious for a few moments.
Senator 2 : Indeed. It isn't appropriate to make ridiculous comparisons.
